My story starts back when I was a young kid. My dad is a huge movie guy so of course he was always showing me and my siblings the best films all the time. I had always been fascinated with the horror genre; I would watch my brother play zombie video games and sometimes he even let me play too. One day, my dad decided it was time to show me one of the most iconic horror films in existence, Halloween. I was still pretty young at that point but horror movies never scared me, I thought they were really cool. I had crazy ideas for creepy stories which I would attempt to make into books, but I was never the best at writing them.

Flash forward to high school; it's 2017 and the new movie IT just came out. My dad took me and my siblings to the theatre the day it came out to see it. I was very excited because this was my first horror movie I got to watch in a theatre. Once the movie ended, my life was transformed. I was obsessed with the cinematography; the lighting, the colors, the effects. I began doing research into how the film was created and became very intrigued. It was at this point I realized film was actually a career I could pursue. I remembered how I would create stories as a little kid, but book writing wasn't really my thing. I wanted to turn my crazy stories into movies. Before this, I always wanted to be a dance teacher. Though I wasn't that good, there was nothing else that really interested me. That is, until I saw the movie IT. I started seeing movies differently; how scenes were shot and all the movie secrets. I began taking all the film related classes I could in high school and fell in love with movie making. This is what I wanted to do with my life.

​In 2021, I began attending Western Michigan University studying film, video, and media. During my time at WMU, I held a video production internship for two years which taught me a lot about recording videos for a client. I also realized that I am really good at editing and I fell in love with it. Four years and a few short films later, I graduated in the spring of 2025 with my degree in film and a minor in marketing.

Now I work part time at WMU creating videos for clients on campus. My dream is to keep making movies, and keep helping others create the videos that they need. I hope you choose me the next time you need a video created!
