Lost Violets is a micro film written by director Reilly Grant. This film was created as a collaboration by me (CFilmworks), Popup Productions, and AMB Films. Though we are happy with the results, there were quite a few problems on the road to production.

This project was supposted to be a slightly longer short film. Pre-production was wrapping up and we were ready to start filming within the next few days. We had everything; the actors, the props, the equipment, even a downpayment on the location we were going to film at. For once, it seemed like everything was going well, too well.

To our surprise, two days before filming, our lead actors backed out. We had no idea what to do. I thought we would just call it quits on the film since we had nothing to film anymore. But director Grant was determined to film at least something. He had a lead on one girl who was interested in being part of the film, but we needed two. We decided to change the script so that only one of the two lead characters would be on screen and everything seemed to be getting back on track.

Well, when we got to the location on the day we were supposed to film, we realized the script needed more adjusting. What was supposed to be Abigail talking to herself trying to find Grace, turned into us needing another girl to play Grace. The script wasn't interesting enough, we needed a second actor. Thankfully one girl who was part of our crew was willing to fill in and soon enough, we had our film.

Although Lost Violets had a lot of last minute ideas and changes, this film has a lot of great elements that we are proud of.
